Our 14th express auction will be held at our offices on Friday October 24th, 2008 at 6:30 pm.

Viewing for this auction will be available during regular office hours (10 am to 4 pm) Tuesday October 21 to Friday October 24, with late viewing until 9 pm on Thursday, October 23 and until 6 pm on Friday, October 24, or by special appointment.


ONLINE or E-MAILBIDS accepted until 5 pm Friday October 24.

Advance bidders who have specific questions regarding lot descriptions may phone us at 604-241-8533 during regular viewing hours. Advance notice of which lots you are interested in will make it easier to help you.


EXPRESS BULK LOT AUCTION #14, October 24th, 2008


We continue to receive very bulky consignments providing a greater number of large lots than can be included in our regular public auctions. So here is our 14th "Express Auction."

The rules are simple.

  • Absentee bids permitting, all lots will open at $20 and be sold to the high bidder at one increment above the second highest bid.

  • All lots are offered "as is", with no returns for any reason.

  • Mail and other absentee bids will be accepted, but we suggest that clients make every effort to view the lots they are interested in.

  • Viewing is available during regular office hours from Tuesday, October 21st until auction time on October 24th, with extended viewing on Thursday, October 23rd until 9 pm

  • If possible, buyers should arrange to pick up their lots. Most lots are bulky and heavy and will be expensive to mail.

Please note that as this is not solely an internet auction, bids are also received by mail, phone, fax and in person. Based on bids received in all these ways, the "Current Bid" indicates the level at which each lot would open on the floor were the auction held that day. "Current Bid" thus does not indicate the high bid, only the opening bid. If no "Current Bid" is shown it means that so far there are no bids on that lot.

Bear in mind also that this is a public auction, and on auction day there will be a large attentive floor of bidders competing with absentee bids. They are quick to notice and raise bids that do not reflect the lot's true value. Our advice for bidding success is to bid near, at, or above the estimate, depending on how much you want the lot. Be assured that you will not pay more than is necessary to beat competing bids.
